Obituary of Kenneth Richard Graves
~Funeral services for Kenneth Richard “Dick” Graves, 70, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 1 PM, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11-1 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Dick passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Jeffersonville.
Dick was born on January 8, 1947 in Jeffersonville, IN to the late Samuel Otto Graves and Martha Graves Paynter. He was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Dick enjoyed gardening, deep sea fishing and was an Indiana University sports fan. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sue Graves; a daughter, Sarah Murillo; two step-children, Timothy Fleace and his wife Barbara; Terri Byrd and her husband Dennis; a half-brother, Harry “Skip” Paynter; a half-sister, Lynn Paynter; and nine grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Breanna, Kaitlyn, Gabriella "Gabby", Matthew (Madeline), Hannah, Eli, Caitlyn (Chevy), Michael, and Kelcie.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Association of Clark County or the Wounded Warrior Project. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
