Obituary of Madeleine Ann Petrie

Funeral services for Madeleine Ann Petrie, 68, of Charlestown, IN, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:30-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville and on Saturday prior to the service from 9:30-11 AM at the church.  She passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at a Louisville Hospital.   

Madeleine was born on April 22, 1949 in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Carl and Megan Pemberton.  She was a longtime member and worked as a missionary for many years for Christ Gospel Churches International.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Petrie; her dear friends and caregivers, Don and Renee Sandusky and Natsumi Gallant; three brothers, Carl Pemberton (Nancy); John Robinson (Sue); Mike Pemberton; step-mother, Emma Pemberton; four nieces and nephews; John Pemberton, Chris Pemberton, Sue Pemberton (Don DeMeyer), Jack Robinson; and four great nieces and nephews, Madelynn, Alexander, Dallas, and Austin Pemberton.
