Joyce Faye Ratts Hogue, 78, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on March 2, 2018. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, March 13 and after 9 A.M.on Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who cherished her family above all else. She was an avid genealogist who thrilled at new discoveries. 

Joyce loved flowers and plants and her backyard garden was an oasis of colorful flowers and greenery that she enjoyed sharing. 

We will miss her warm smile, cheery disposition and exuberance.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward and Pearl Kennard Ratts; and grandson, Michael Wayne Asher.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William “Bill” Hogue; children, Jeffery Hogue (Pam), Janice Asher (Jerry), Jennifer Sparkman (Melvin) and Rebekah Leffler; grandchildren, Brandon Dean Sparkman, Brittany Jessica Sparkman, Matthew Walton Asher, Alyssa Marie Tilley, Marissa Pearl Tilley, Samantha Renee Leffler and Natasha Rhae Leffler; great-grandchild, Charli Brielle Sparkman; sister, Marilyn June Frankenburger; brother, George “Sonny” Edward Ratts Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
