Margaret Ann Russell Wheeler, 83, of Jeffersonville, passed away Friday May 12, 2017 after a long illness.

Margaret Ann was married to her late husband, Shorty, for 61 years. Together they loved to travel, host family reunions, garden and dance.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked at ICI for many years, but she will be remembered for the job she loved most which was caring for and loving her family. She lived her life as an example for us all to follow and was the true meaning of grace.

She was also preceded in death by her parents David and Blanch Russell; brothers: Melvin, Buddy, Ernest and Joe and sisters: Virginia, Toots, and Sis.

She is survived by three sons: Donnie (Patsy), John "Jake" (Tina), and Lonnie Wheeler; and one daughter Tricia MCGuire (Kirk). Also, six grandchildren: Young Lee, John, Ellen, Joe, Kelly and Kerry; ten great grandchildren: Alyse, Jasmine, Andy, Kevin, Benji, Nathan, Blake, Elise, Allie and Gramm; and four step grandchildren: Chad, Lucas, Kristie and Ethan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN on Monday, May 15, from 4 - 8 PM and Tuesday from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1840 E 8th St. Jeffersonville, IN, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:30 PM.
