On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Angels in Heaven welcomed with open arms a very precious lady, Virginia Nell (Goss) Bailey. She left this world surrounded by several family members and very close friends. Virginia was loved by many, she put others first and was always willing to help in any way she could. She not only was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, but she also was an honorary mother to many others.  She had been a faithful church member at Church of God of Prophecy in Louisville, Kentucky for many years. Her greatest passion was spending time with family and friends.

Virginia will be missed by many, but we know she is no longer in pain. God has given her a new body to rejoice in every day.  Her memories will live forever in our hearts.

She was born on November 15, 1937, in Greenwood, Mississippi.  She was 79 years young.

She was preceded in death by her father, C.T. Goss, Sr.; mother, Ethel Goss; 3 brothers, J.M. Goss, Willis Goss, and Robert Goss.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Byron Thomas Bailey, Jr.; daughter, Debbie (Bailey) Case; sons, David Wayne Bailey and Darrell Ray Bailey; grandchildren, Jeremy Case, Jason Case, Daniel Bailey and Devin Bailey; great grandchildren, Chad Case, Christina Case, Cassidy Case, Chance Bailey, Aria Case, Lorelei Case, Maxwell Bailey, Cash Bailey, Oliver Case and Grayson Case; son-in-law, Garry Case; brother, C.T. Goss, Jr.; sister, Shirley (Goss) Carpenter; along with many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Virginia Nell (Goss) Bailey will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Friday, August 4, 2017, and at 9 AM to 10 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Scott Funeral Home.
