Obituary of Erma Lavana Forsee

Erma Lavana Forsee

88; Jeffersonville, IN

Erma Lavana Wade Forsee died peacefully on August 10, 2017 at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville. She was born 88 years ago to Clyde and Edna Wade in Jeffersonville and married Robert D. Forsee in 1947. Erma was a homemaker who would welcome anyone at any time and always have something to share, whether it were advice or a delicious meal. She was creative with ceramics and sewing and was a splendid cook. Erma and Bob’s house was the place to be for gatherings. Both were active members of the Clarksville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The congregation has continued to support her through kind visits and care.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her niece Diane Wade. To cherish her memory, Erma is survived by her son, David A. Forsee and daughter-in-law, Mary Forsee; grandchildren, Jennifer Forsee Hartley (Brandon) and John Forsee (Sarah); and great grandchildren, Aaron, Sam, Nathan, and Ryan Hartley and Luke and Clair Forsee. Fond memories are shared also by her nieces, Debbie Wade and Denise Pant, Michigan.

The family sincerely thanks the caregivers at Hillcrest and the devotion demonstrated by the staff of Southern Care Hospice Services.

A funeral service for Erma will take place on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11 AM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 13 from 2 PM – 6 PM and on Monday, August 14 from 9 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.
