Funeral services for Faizon K. Hanes, 16, of Charlestown, IN, will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 Thomas V. Bryant Drive, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Friday and after 9 AM on Saturday at the church. Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.  He passed away on August 27, 2017.

Faizon was the most beloved son and brother, who was outspoken and had the largest smile.  He loved basketball and spent countless days at the YMCA.  He was a great "hustler" and knew what he wanted and how to get it.  He loved his crew: Isaiah James and Nataj Sanders. He had just turned 16 years old and received his dream car, a Cadillac CTS.  He loved his family and siblings and a day never passed when he didn't end a conversation with "I Love You".  He was a student at Charlestown High School and the Prosser Vocational School.  He was baptized at an early age and was an active member of the Wesley Youth Ministry.  He was a fearless thrill seeker and lived life to the fullest. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Debra Hanes; great-grandparents, Bernice and Floyd James; great-grandmother, Juanita McMurtry; and cousin, Dariaan Q. Berryman-James.

He is survived by his mother, Siobhan James; father, Jeremy Hanes Sr.;  step-mother, Chanae; siblings, Jeremy Kyle Hanes Jr., Kaitlyn Hanes, Justin Hanes, Vontrell James, Jenasia Hanes, and Cylie Hanes; grandparents, Karen Gardner, Robert and Scharlene James; grandfather Ed Hanes (Nelda); and step-grandmother, Joyce Dunn; and numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
