Rose “Rosie” Vissing Scott

Funeral services for Rose “Rosie” Vissing Scott, 86, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. Augustine Church, 315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 5, at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.  She passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. 

Rose was a 1948 graduate of Jeffersonville High School and then worked as a bookkeeper at Scott Funeral Home and Stemler Plumbing of Jeffersonville.  She was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Church and also enjoyed being involved in Tri Kappa Sorority.  She was married to Dick Scott of Jeffersonville, and after his retirement, they enjoyed traveling the country and going on cruises.  Rose loved to spend her time with her family and working in the yard at their homes in Jeff. 

The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Pennie, Robbie, Karen, Glenda, Becky F. and Becky J.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard “Dick” Scott; parents, William and Marietta Vissing; three brothers, Billy, Gus and Vince Vissing; and sister, Rita Gavin.

She is survived by her four children, Terry Nattermann (Jerry), Rick Scott (Darlene), Marty Scott (Le Anne), and Dee Dee Webb (Rick); seven grandchildren, Joe Nattermann, Jeff Nattermann (Danielle), Charlie Scott (Erin), Jake Scott (Megan), Addie Rose Scott, Nathan Webb and Hannah Webb; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Brent, Cameron, Grayson, Elizabeth, Zack and Dylan; sister, Mary Catherine Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Kindred Hospice, or St. Augustine's Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
