Obituary of Nancy Maschmeyer Flynn
Nancy Maschmeyer Flynn, 93, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away October 5, 2017 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany. Cremation has been chosen and Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has been entrusted with her care.
Nancy was born on March 24, 1924 in Jeffersonville, IN to the late Clifford and Alma Hedge Maschmeyer. She worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for over 20 years until her son was born. She owned and operated Flynn’s Tavern for 10 years and worked many years as a legal secretary for Maschmeyer & Maschmeyer Law Firm. Nancy participated in Senior Games until she was 90 years old and had won several medals in basketball. She also enjoyed attending Earth Wind & Fire concerts with her son until she was 91 years old. She was a sweet and loving lady that will be missed by her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Patrick Flynn; and her brother, Judge Clifford "Buddy" Maschmeyer;.
Nancy is survived by her loving son, Timothy Flynn; four nephews, Mike (Cyndy) Maschmeyer; Mark (Debbie) Maschmeyer; Mike Flynn; Steve (Lynn) Flynn; a niece, Gina Flynn; and great nieces and nephews, Dylan Maschmeyer, Evan Maschmeyer, and Amanda Maschmeyer Smith.
