Jim was member of the Clark County Democratic party and Past President and board member of the Abby Chase Resident’s Association, where he was often known as the “Mayor of Abby Chase” by many of his neighbors.  The “Admiral of the Jeffersonville Navy” award was bestowed upon Jim in recognition of his outstanding service to the Jeffersonville community.
