Such a beautiful soul who did indeed glorify God with the way she treated everyone. She was a friend to the lonely, gave couraget to the fearful, and a smile for the downtrodden. I know she has many who greeted her in heaven, including my mom Peggy. We all loved her dearly.

I feel as though I have lost my other mother. She was so close for so many years. Even after the divorce, she continued to correspond with me and I with her. She was always kind and I remember so many instances of her loving help, when our son was born and for many years afterwards. God speed, Lois. You shall be dearly missed.f

Lois was very dear to my late husband, Rev. Orville E. Hendrixson ( Lois's pastor at Harrison Avenue U.M. Church ) and myself during those days and as she became a member of Providence. I enjoyed setting next to Lois in the many Sunday morning church services, and visiting her in her home when she had health issues.
Lois was very special, soft spoken and a smile that was always a blessing.
Know the angels are singing in Heaven with the arrival of Mrs. Lois May Stackhouse.

Lois Stackhouse was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies I ever had the pleasure of knowing and was definitely one of the Lord’s Angels here on Earth. Her soul shone brightly with Peace and Love and that could be felt by those Lois loved and those who loved her, as well. Her soul is at rest now in the Kingdom of Heaven, but the light she bore will be forever carried by all the people she encountered throughout her long and wonderful life. Rest well, Lois, Rest In Peace.
