Obituary of David W. Watts

Funeral services for David W. Watts, 64, of Austin, IN, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Fairview Christian Church, 2028 W. Fairview Rd, Underwood, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-6:00 PM and on Sunday prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 PM at the church.  He passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital. 

Dave was born on February 20, 1953 in Breathitt County, KY to the late Andrew Sr. and Opal Watts.  Dave was active in the Austin Community and spent many years mentoring and coaching youth sports.  He previously worked for Reliance Electric Company in Columbus, IN, and was a member at Fairview Christian Church in Underwood, IN.  Dave was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and Indiana University football fan.  He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

Along with his parents, Dave was preceded in death by three siblings, Gene Watts, Herschel Watts, and Shirley Combs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Juanita Watts; two children, Chris Watts (Heather); B.J. Watts (Jamie); eight siblings, Pat Watts, Rosa Watts, Reva Turner, Andy Watts Jr. (Penny), Howard Watts (Diane), Ab Watts (Kay), Ben Watts (Michelle), Linda Anderson (Bob); two grandchildren, Tristen Watts, Ty Watts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Memorial contributions can be made to Fairview Christian Church.  Envelopes will be available at the church.
