Obituary of Larry "Joe" Booth
Funeral services for Larry “Joe” Booth, 69, of Clarksville, IN, will be held at 3 PM, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday prior to the service from 10-3 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home.
Joe was born on June 25, 1948 in Louisville, KY to the late William Henry and Mary Emma Booth. He previously owned an automotive repair shop in Jeffersonville and was a well known drag racer. Joe was a car enthusiast and enjoyed building model trains, cars, and airplanes.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Booth; a son, Derrick Booth; and a sister, Sharon Leslie.
He is survived by his four children, Larry J. Booth Jr. (Yvette); Gerry L. Booth (Aretha); Jonnathon Booth (Tiffany); Brian Booth (Cassey); daughter-in-law, Emily; four siblings, Anthony Booth (Anita); Ernest Booth (Linda); Bill Booth (Gwendolyn); Karen Booth; many other adopted siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
