Virginia Mae Mayer, 88, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on April 30, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday and after 10 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. 

Virginia retired from the Jeff High School Cafeteria and was a past member of St. Luke’s Church and a current member of Cook Memorial United Methodist Church.  The family would like to thank Hosparus of Southern Indiana for their outstanding care of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beatrice Woehrle; and daughter, Cathy Ann Mayer.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Richard E. Mayer; daughters, Janet Sidebottom (Dale – dec.) and Bonnie Deason (Mark); grandson, Eric Deason (Alisha); and great-granddaughter, Makayla Corbett.
