Obituary of John W. Harris
Funeral services for John W. Harris, 54, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, IN, with entombment to follow in Walnut Ridge Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home.
John was born on December 5, 1963 in Louisville, KY and previously worked as a truck driver. He completely devoted his life to Jesus Christ Our Savior, and enjoyed ministering to others through his music. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Harris; and his mother, Barbara Thompson-Myers.
John is survived by his daughter, Heather Harris; two step-children, Tonya Hall (Rusty); David Pollard (Alicia); a brother, Dennis Myers (Kelly); his father, Walter McInteer (Betty); nine grandchildren, Kimberly Harris, Matthew Stephens, Katelyn Brown, Chase Edwards, Hailey Edwards, Johnny Harris, Tristan Harris, Justin Harris, Kailey Harris; one great grandchild, Madison Stephens; and three sister-in-laws, Mary Reynolds (David); Phyllis Squire (Vernon); and Carol Craig (Glenn).
