Obituary of Prentiss "Junior" Wayne Mathis Jr.
Visitation for Prentiss “Junior” Wayne Mathis Jr., 48, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 11-2 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his home.
Junior was born on March 15, 1970 in Natchez, MS. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and especially a cold beer or bourbon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Prentiss Wayne Mathis Sr.
Junior is survived by three children, Kessie Bewley; Jacob Wayne Mathis; Michael Travis Mathis; his mother, Mary McKey; girlfriend, Sherry Mouser; five siblings, Chris Douglas, Dwayne Mathis, Jon Poindexter, Andrew Douglas, Teresa Thompson; and three grandchildren.
