Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Childress

A funeral service for Cheryl Lynn Childress, 55, of Utica, IN. will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12 PM at Scott Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Utica Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 – 8 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away at her home on August 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. 

Cheryl was born April 15, 1963 in Jeffersonville, IN. and raised in Utica, IN. by Jerry and Doris Snelling.  Her most recent and favorite “employment” was being MeeMee to her granddaughter Madelynn. 

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Marvin Childress; her daughter Meredith Jones (Sam); her granddaughter, Madelynn Jones; her parents Jerry and Doris; her brothers, Gerald Snelling, and Michael Snelling (Kevin Horton).
