Obituary of Michael Allison Christian

Visitation for Michael Allison Christian, 71, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 1-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville.  A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum.  He passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital after a long battle with nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis.   

Michael was born on October 6, 1947 in Glasgow, KY to the late Allison Bayard and Ida Christian.  He was retired from NSSAR (National Society Sons of the American Revolution) where he worked for 28 years as the head librarian.  Michael was an avid reader, he loved researching his family’s genealogy and was a member of several lineage societies.   

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Emma Allison Christian.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Robin Christian; a son, Matthew Allison Christian; a sister, Angela Clay (Mike); a brother, Geoff Christian; a nephew, Chris Clay; and a great niece and nephew, McKenzie and Conner Clay.
