William Seth Hemphill II, 34, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on November 5, 2018.  

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 6 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Kent Fowler. 

William was born in Clovis, New Mexico on November 6, 1983 to William Hemphill and Greta Williams.  Moved to Zweibrucken, Germany shortly after his birth.  Upon returning from Germany the family moved to San Antonio, TX until he relocated to Jeffersonville, IN with his mother.  He attended Parkview Middle School and graduated with the Class of 2002 at Jeffersonville High School.

William was deeply loved, a kind and gentle soul, and the greatest son ever.  He loved to laugh and he loved his family.  He loved to sing, play music and to have a deep conversation with anyone that would listen. 

William endured the pain of Sickle Cell S/C disease but even in his pain he always had a kind word or gesture for those around him. 

His dream was to have his own clothing line called Street Soldiers in remembrance of his cousins, Arien Smith and Andre Williams. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lorenzo A. Williams Sr.; paternal grandmother, Judith Hemphill; and cousins, Arien Smith and Andre Williams. 

He is survived by his wife, Lyslie Hemphilll; mother, Greta Williams Blackshear of Jeffersonville, IN; father, William Hemphill (Michelle) of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Mary Alice Williams; grandfather, William D. Hemphill; brothers, Tasz McKoy (Lars) of Austin, TX, and Mikhi Hemphill of Dallas, TX; sisters, Jael Hemphill of Dallas, TX, Aieshah Blackshear of Austin, TX, and Latasha Hemphill of Buffalo, NY; aunts, Cassandra Parsons (Don) of Spring Lake, NC, Dione Alexander of Tacoma, WA, and Tracy Hemphill of Buffalo, NY; uncles, Lorenzo A. Williams Sr. of SeaTac, WA, Cedric Williams (Gina) of Clovis, NM, Mark Hemphill of Buffalo, NY, and Jonathan Hemphill; a host of cousins and friends.
