Obituary of Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Hoyland

A funeral mass for Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Hoyland, 74, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1840 E. 8th Street in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 12-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville and on Saturday morning prior to the funeral mass from 11-12 PM at the church.  He passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, at his home.

Ronnie was born on February 22, 1944 in Louisville, KY, to the late William H. and Anna Fuchs Hoyland.  He graduated from Providence High School in 1962 and then from Indiana University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting.  Ronnie was an avid Providence High School sports fan, he especially loved girls’ volleyball.  Ronnie retired after many years from C&I Engineering Inc. where he was a controller and part-owner.    

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Mildred Hoyland Fuchs, William Hoyland, and Joseph A. Hoyland.   

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Murley Hoyland; five siblings, Richard L. Hoyland (Marcia); John Hoyland; Martha Franz (Bob); Ruth Hill (Joe); Tommy Hoyland; brother and sister in laws, Jim and Marilyn Murley; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. 

Memorial contributions can be made to the Providence Athletic Department, 707 Providence Way, Clarksville, IN, 47129.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
