Obituary of James Daniel Strickland

James Daniel “Danny” Strickland, 58, of Memphis, IN, passed away on November 26, 2018. 

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. 

Danny was born December 5, 1959 in Louisville, KY to parents James L. Strickland and Betty A. Coons.  Danny, with his contagious smile and booming laugh, never met a stranger.  In a similar way that Danny lived his life, his family ask that you come casually dressed in jeans and ball caps.    

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Strickland; son, James Austin Strickland; and sister, Missie Vissing (Michael). 

He is survived by his longtime partner, Patti Zelli; son, Tyler D. Strickland; mother, Betty Ann Coons; sisters, Nancy Reschar (Joe); Donna Sherpitis, Pam Shane, Sherry Kantaras, Tricia Brockway; brother, Jim Strickland, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
