Obituary of Reynolds J Deaton

Reynolds J. Deaton, 83 of Jeffersonville, IN. passed away on January 4, 2019. A reception to celebrate and honor the life of Reynolds will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 11 AM – 2 PM at New Song Church, 50 East Madison Street, Scottsburg, IN.

He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on August 2, 1935 to parents Dan and Dora Deaton.  He worked in construction and was formerly employed by the Greater Clark County Schools.  He was a member of the Masons, and loved reading the newspaper and doing the crossword puzzle every day.  Reynolds loved his dogs, and lovingly referred to them as his boys. 

Reynolds is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Reynolds Deaton; brothers: Fletch, Mack, Clyde, Raymond, Bradley, and Willie; sisters: Mabel and Bertha.

Survivors include his daughters, Jackie Wolford and  Dundri Osborne; grandchildren: Megan Wolford, Haley Wolford and Taylor Osborne; sisters, Bonnie Storen and  Theda Sexton; and several special nieces and nephews.
