James H. Porter “Jim”, 77, of Charlestown, IN passed away on January 17, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care. A funeral service will be at 11AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2018, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, from 4 PM - 8 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM - 11 AM at the funeral home.
Jim was born on February 21, 1941 to the late Kenneth and Martha Porter. He was a graduate of St. X High School, and retired from Ford Motor Company. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed taking care of his car, fishing, and shooting pool in his free time.
Along with his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Alberta Porter; and grandson, Dalton.
Jim is survived by his wife, Traci Porter; children, John Porter (Ellen), Nick Kantlehner (Heather), Ted Nally, Amanda Quinn (Daniel), and Crystal Kantlehner; grandchildren, Josh, Brayden, Nathan, Peyton, Jayce, Abby, Raelynn, and Xander; and five great-grandchildren.
