Obituary of Gerry Hawkins

Gerald “Gerry” Joseph Hawkins, 60, of Sellersburg, passed away March 28, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.   He was born on October 7, 1958 in Louisville to Martha Hawkins and the late William Hawkins.  He was a machinist at Reynolds Metal Company for over 26 years and was a gun fanatic.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cassandra Bruner Hawkins; children, Jennifer Hawkins, Alan (Jessica) Hendricks, Brittni (Lance) Cissell and Danielle Griffith; grandchildren, Camryn Mattingly, Kyleigh Cissell, Brinley Cissell, Harper Meyers, and Annie Hendricks; his mother, Martha Hawkins; three brothers, Mark Hawkins, Tom Hawkins and David Hawkins and a sister, Kathy Hutchins.

A service to celebrate his life will be conducted Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway.  Visitation will be from 12-6 on Sunday at the funeral home.
