Obituary of Helen Rose Hoke

Helen Hoke, 81, of New Albany, IN, passed away on May 18, 2019 surrounded by her family.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Cave Hill Cemetery. 

Helen was born on March 2, 1938 in Salem, IN, to the late Archibald and Margaret Tuncil.  She was the Valedictorian of Pekin High School Class of 1955 and then retired after 30 years as a Medical Administrative Assistant with Veterans Hospital.  She was also a long-time volunteer at Floyd Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Roos (Jim), and Shawnee Goodman (Jody); sister, Martha Lenahan (Charles); grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Hannah, Jacob, David, Brittney, Justin, Erin, Brooklyn, and Dairien; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Edmiston; and sister, Verna Phillips.
