Obituary of Jackie Lee Walker III

Jackie Lee Walker III was born to Jack and Patricia Walker on November 13th 1989.
At an early age, Jack always loved anything outdoors. Fishing and hunting were two of his most favorite hobbies. He had many unique gifts, one of which was being a self taught guitarist as well as holding his own on a piano. Jack was a friend to anyone that needed it and was loved by all except those who could never defeat him on video games!! After celebrating 4 years of sobriety from the healing place in Louisville KY he became a student at Ivy Tech college in Sellersburg. With aspirations to be in the field of cyber security Jack worked extremely hard and maintained a 4.0 gpa. This level of dedication gained him an acceptance to the Theta Kappa Honor Society. With Jacks passing on May 18th 2019 he was proceeded in death by Jack Walker Sr and Ethel Lawson.

He is survived by parents, Jack and Patricia Walker; siblings Lacey and James Walker as well as nieces and nephews, Lauren, Andre, Jaicee and Wyatt. Jack is also survived by grandparents, James Lawson and Phil and Sharon Harris.

A service to celebrate his life will be conducted,Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Turning Point Church, 899 West McLain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the church.

In lieu of flowers the Walker family is requesting donations that will be given on Jacks behalf to the Healing Place in Louisville KY. The Healing Place is a nationally-recognized recovery program to over 700 men and women that provides food, shelter and clothing at not cost to the client. Because of the help and dedication this organization offers, we as a family were able to celebrate 4 years of sobriety with Jack and are beyond grateful!!
