Doris Marie Tyler, 72, of Clarksville, IN, passed away on June 19, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Christ Gospel Church International, 2614 E. 10th Street, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday at the church.  Legacy Funeral Center of Jeffersonville has been entrusted with her arrangements. 

Doris was born on December 22, 1946 in Barton, AL.  In high school her family moved to Arizona and she was a CNA at the Pinal County Nursing Center in Florence, AZ before retiring.  She loved caring for the elderly.  She was an active member of Christ Gospel Church and moved to Clarksville, IN in 2001.  She wasn’t afraid to show love to everyone she met and was a grandmother to all. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Jones; mother, Virgia Stillman; and six siblings, Yvonne Jones, Betty Jones, Donald Jones, Ruth Hubbard, Barbara Huffman, and Alvin Jones.

She is survived by her two children, Tammy Masters (Vince), and Rodney M. Tyler; six grandchildren, Ryan Masters (Brandy), Isaiah Masters (Brianna), Nathan Masters, Todd Masters, Samantha Tyler, and Jessica Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Ava Pennington-Masters, and Aria Masters; four siblings, Jack Garvin Jones, John Marvin Jones, Nelda Patrick, and Elaine Campbell; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
