A funeral service for Jack L. Wassing, 85, of Clarksville, IN will be at 11 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 19, from 2 PM – 8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home. A masonic service for Jack will be held on Friday evening at 6 PM at the funeral home.  He passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on August 15, 1933 in Jeffersonville, IN. He was a 50 year member of the Clark Masonic Lodge 40 and 3 Time Past Master. He was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Jack was an avid card player and fisherman. He also spent time collecting for WHAS Crusades of Children and Volunteered for the American Red Cross.

Jack in preceded in death by his second wife, Ceil Wassing; first wife, Margaret Wassing; son, Jack Wassing, Jr.; daughter, Peggy D. Wassing; father, Leo J. Wassing; mother, Ruth E. Morrison; step-father, Joseph Morrison; half-brother, Don Wassing; and grandson, Josh Paul.

Surviving are his children, Cindy Wray (Sammy), Deanna “Dee” Seabolt (Shawn), and David Wassing; step-daughter, Linda Grove-Paul (Randy); half-brother, Mike Wassing; girlfriend, Kay Wolfe; grandchildren, Kyle, Kate, Kristi, Cassy, Jackie, Meghan, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Noah; and his beloved dog, Nellie.
