Obituary of Helen Mae Spalding
Helen Mae Spalding, age 93, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Helen was born October 26, 1925 to the late Floyd and Estelle McCellan Carlisle. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was retired from General Electric with over 35 years of service.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harold Spalding; a son, Harold "Dickie" Jantzen and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Nikki Jantzen-Graham and James Patrick Daniel (Keely Daniel); great-grandchildren, Trae' Graham, Mikey Jantzen, Tasha Daniel, Bryan Daniel, Timmy Daniel and Tyler Daniel; and great-great grandchildren, Hallie Jantzen, Brayden Daniel, Brianna Daniel, Bentley Daniel, Logan Daniel and Lexi Daniel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, with burial to follow in Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville.
