James “Big Jim” Harold Pryor passed away peacefully on July 28, 2019. He was born on September 6, 1952. In his final hours he was surrounded by loved ones.
James was a retired electrician and maintenance man from General Electric where he worked for over 30 years. He also taught Industrial Maintenance at Ivy Tech. When James was not working he loved to be with friends and family, eating good food and having fun.
During his retired years he was always working on new project. He especially loved any good finds from the flea market and antiquing. He had every tool known to man.
James was preceded in death by his father, James Pryor; his mother, Claire Pryor; and his brother, Jeff Pryor. James is survived by his wife, Nora Pryor; and two daughters, Treasea Colvin, and Jamie Miller. James’ siblings are Jerry Pryor, Gordon Pryor, Gail Crum, Elaine Pryor, Sandra Pryor, Ronda Fischbach, Lynda Miller, and Alice Miller. James had seven grandchildren, Heather Colvin, Glenn Colvin, Jr., River Colvin, Nicolas Colvin, Aeris Miller, Aayla Miller, and Avery Miller. James had two great grandchildren, Isabelle Colvin and Owen McCoy.
A funeral for James will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 30 from 12 PM – 8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.
