A graveside service for Ervin L. Himmelheber, 89, of Jeffersonville, IN will be at 1 PM on Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Memories at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park, 2778 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, IN. Ervin passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Ervin was born on May 8, 1930 to the late Gilbert and Laura Himmelheber. He was honored with the title of a Kentucky Colonel. He was also a member of the Jaycees and was a Freemason, serving in several different local lodges. Throughout his life, Ervin enjoyed bringing laughter to others. Many knew him as Zaney the Magic Clown, Lamont the Magician, or some may know him as Ronald?
Along with his parents, Ervin is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Erline; son, Mickie Himmelheber; siblings, Herbert Hackworth (Mary), Elmira Stubblefield (Joe), Richard Himmelheber, and Joseph Himmelheber; and sister-in-law, Pat Himmelheber.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rick Himmelheber (Libby) and Mark Himmelheber (Deanna); siblings, David Himmelheber and Charles Himmelheber (Peggy); sister-in-laws, Mae Himmelheber and Lana Himmelheber; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
