Sebert R. Curry, Sr., 79, of Clarksville, IN passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation for Sebert will be on Tuesday from 2 PM – 8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.

Sebert was born on February 6, 1940 to the late Joseph and Violet Curry. Following graduation, he joined the United States Army where he served honorably as a combat engineer for several years. He was a very patriotic man, loved his country, and was a member of VFW Post 3281. Unlike most, Sebert loved yard work and took great pride in his lawn. You would often find him sitting on the front porch watching his humming birds go by. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Along with his parents, Sebert is preceded in death by several of his siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Juanita Curry; children, Danny Curry, Sr. (Brenda), Larry Curry, Victor Curry (Claudia), Sebert Curry, Jr. (Teresa), Shane Curry (Shelbi), and Roy Trotter; 19 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters; and host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorial Contributions can be made toward the VFW Post 3281. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
