Obituary of Anna Mauriece Thompson

Anna Mauriece Thompson, 78, was promoted to Heaven on October 1, 2019.  She was a founding member of Resurrection Ministries serving as a board member and the church treasurer.  Anna was strong in her faith and loved Jesus and her family with all of her heart. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Oberlies McDonner and her brother, James McDonner.

Anna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sonny Thompson; daughters, Yolanda (Rick) Hobbs and Beth (Chris) Betsch; grandchildren, Erica, Lora, Sara and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Michaela; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family. 

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 11am-1pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN with a celebration of Anna’s life beginning at 1pm.

 Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Utica, IN.
