Obituary of Johanna Riehl Case

Funeral services for Johanna Riehl Case, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday prior to the service from 10-2 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center.

Johanna was born on January 14, 1933 in Columbia, Missouri, to the late Marvin W. and Eulah Hagan Riehl.  She worked many years in the cafeteria at Jeffersonville High School and was union president of the high school cafeteria workers.  Johanna was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of Sigma Phi Gamma sorority and was an avid Jeffersonville High School Basketball fan and longtime season ticket holder.     

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ottie Case; and a brother, Dr. Richard Riehl.   

She is survived by two children, Steve Case (Pam); Cindy Ehringer (Mark); a brother, Art Riehl (Jeanne); four grandchildren, Missy Stoudemire (Jerome); Shellie Case (Nick Hunter); J.D. Ehringer; Courtney Ehringer; and five great grandchildren, Emmi, Kobe, Karson, Harper, and Hudson.
