Obituary of Martha "Jane" Brangers

Funeral services for Martha “Jane” Brangers, 89, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in New Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 PM and on Tuesday prior to the service from 9-11 AM.  She passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home.  

Jane was born on April 20, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Garnett and Ethel Ellingsworth.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany for many years.  Jane worked at JC Penney’s and Dillards before retiring but that never slowed her down. She cleaned house 5 days a week, mostly her own family’s homes, up until 5 years ago.  Jane was a wonderful baker and the family always looked forward to her treats around the holidays.  She will be deeply missed.  

Jane is survived by her daughter, Susan Willham; four grandchildren, Sa’rah Willham, Luke Willham, Jodi Reddick, Dana Ingram; four great grandchildren, Melia Reddick, Zealand Ingram, Mya Reddick, Emerson Ingram;  and numerous extended family.    

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity U.M. Church or New Chapel U.M. Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
