Tabitha M. Hernandez, 35, of Bedford, KY passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home.

A celebration of life will be on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 2 PM – 10 PM at the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28, 1930 McDonald Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. A prayer service will take place at 6 PM at the Legion Hall. 

Tabitha was born on July 25, 1984 in Salem, IN. She was always known for her positive outlook on life. Whether at a concert or working at Dr. Luckett’s office as a dental assistant, Tabitha had a smile on her face. Tabitha loved life, and worked to make sure that the life she lived was one in which she was happy and one she enjoyed. She had an amazing ability to connect with people and could become friends instantly with total strangers. Tabitha looked for and saw the best in people even when they didn’t see it in themselves. After her diagnosis, Tabitha became a member of Gilda’s Club and looked forward to the support group meetings they hosted. Most importantly, Tabitha was a devoted wife and mother, and her kind spirit will carry on with all who knew and loved her.

Tabitha is preceded in death by her grandfather, “Mack” Bell; and grandmother, Jane Carden.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 16 years, Nathanial Hernandez; daughter, Devonny Hernandez; sister, Tara Mollett; mother, Rosa Marie Bell; father, Glen Mollett (Judy); paternal grandparents, Fritz and Tilly Mollett; maternal grandmother, Joyce Randall (Rudy); aunt, Jennifer Eldridge (Garnett); father-in-law, Carlos Hernandez (Monica); and mother-in-law, Debbie Hernandez (Jack Lawson).

Memorial contributions can be made to Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Celebration of Life.
