Obituary of George Raymond Conn

George Raymond Conn Jr. 89; Clarksville A memorial service for George Raymond Conn Jr., 89, of Clarksville, IN, will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. George was born on June 29, 1924 in Jeffersonville, IN, to his parents, George Raymond Conn Sr. and Lucy Crum Conn. He was the owner of Evergreen Publishing and an active member of Eastside Christian Church in Jeffersonville. He liked to spend his free time with his family and playing golf. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army and served in the European Theater. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, George Raymond Conn III; and three brothers, Jack Conn, Ralph Conn and Bob Conn. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sharon Conn; daughter, Kelley Mather; son, Kevin Mather; eight grandchildren, Micah, Rebekah, Seth, Hannah, Josiah, Anthony, Bradley and Bryan; and five great-grandchildren.
