Obituary of Martha Lucille Dobson

Martha Lucille Dobson 94; Jeffersonville Funeral services for Martha Lucille Dobson, 94, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 11 AM, Friday, August 23, 2013, at Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Pkwy) in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 PM and after 9 AM on Friday at the funeral home. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Health Center. She was born March 7, 1919 to the late George and Mayme Flora of New Albany. She was an active member of West Maple Street Baptist Church. She loved her family very much, especially children. She cared for over 25 children in her lifetime. In her later years, no matter how ill, the sight of a child brought a smile to her face. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, William Dobson; sisters, Margaret Peay, Eurdenne Wimp and Charlotte Bittner. She is survived by her son, George William Dobson and his wife JoAnn; a daughter, Barbara Sowders and her husband Jim; granddaughters, Gayla Williams and Patti Luther; grandsons, Brent Hussung and Brandon Shively; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Lincoln Hills Health Center for their care and support.
