Obituary of Betty Nikitas Ciukaj

Betty J. Nikitas Ciukaj 87; Sellersburg Memorial services for Betty J. Nikitas Ciukaj, 87, of Sellersburg, IN, will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel, with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM at the funeral home. She passed away on August, 4, 2013 at her home. Betty was a retired para-legal for the Army Corp of Engineers and previously worked for the Naval Ordinance and was a member of Eastside Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Nikitas Sr.; and parents, Leland and Minnie Hook; two sisters, Irene Bindner and Wanda Schagene; and a brother Jack Hook. She is survived by her husband, Steve Ciukaj; two children, Tom Nikitas (Ann) of Beaufort, SC, and Nick Nikitas (Carla) of Jeffersonville, IN; brother, Donald Hook (Nancy) of Butler, IN; three step-sons, Steve, Larry and Troy; and three grandchildren, Natalie, Joseph and Jonathan Nikitas.
