Obituary of Boyd Nash Sanders

Boyd Nash Sanders, 69, of Lanesville, IN. passed away peacefully on April 16, 2017 at Hosparus with his family by his side. Boyd was born May 14, 1947 in Shelbyville, KY. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School, Georgetown College, and the University of Tennessee Dental School. Boyd practiced dentistry for 40 years in Shively and Southern Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, volunteering, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an active member of Southeast Christian Church. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Phyllis Sanders. Survivors include his loving wife and soulmate of 47 years, Carla (Jones) Sanders; sons, Todd and wife Dawn of London, KY., Jason of Lanesville, IN., and Christopher of Indianapolis, IN.; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Matthew. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 20, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2-8 PM and Thursday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Boyd was a kind man with a gentle heart who was loved by his family, friends, and patients. In lieu of flowers, you may honor his legacy by making a donation in his honor to WHAS Crusade for Children or Dare to Care, envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
