Funeral services for George Raymond Scholl, 61, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 315 E. Chestnut St., Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  He passed away on August 16, 2018 after a hard fought battle with cancer. 

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is a Veteran of the United States Army and National Guard and served his country in Operation Desert Storm.  He was a volunteer firefighter at Zoneton Fire Department and he retired from Mount Saint Francis where he was Facilities Director. 

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Scholl; nephew, Adam Eisenback; and niece, Ashley Scholl.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie (Hendrick) Scholl; son, Jeremy Scholl and his wife, Jamie, of Jeffersonville; daughter, Elizabeth Stetar and her husband, Jonathan, of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Lucas, Lily, Grayson, Nathaniel, Zachary and Abigail; mother and stepfather, Susan and Leo Cotter; nine siblings, Debbie Thompson (Michael), Michael Scholl (Iris), Beth Ohlmann (Kevin), Bruce Scholl (Sandy), Tom Scholl, Cindy Arias (Joe), Patricia White (Billy), Theresa Gagel (Bob), and Patrick Scholl (Mindy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to Mount Saint Francis or the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
