I read of Darrell’s passing in Wabash notes. I was a teammate of Darrell on the Wabash football team. He always was team oriented and was a great track athlete too. Darrell knew how to treat people well and had a good sense of humor. It’s evident that he used his time on earth well.
God bless his family and loved ones and may he Rest In Peace.

Sorry to hear of Darrell's death. I have followed him from afar as I live in New Albany & knew he was a Clinton Central alum. Great tribute to him in last week's paper! Sheila's brother Keith was a good friend of mine in H.S. Darrell's brother Randy was in my brother Lewie's class @ CC. My blessings to the family.

My Heartgoes out to you Shiela and your family. I can remember when my Mom passed away that you baked that Chicken and Rice casserole and brought it over to my house. I love you and I loved taking Mr. Kingery on the Track Field trips so much back then. You and your family are in my prayers and I love you Sheila. God Bless

Shelia and family; First, thank you for sharing your husband and dad with all of us - Darrell changed so many lives and impacted our family in ways that few have. Shelia and Darrell looked out for our kids in so many ways - it just hurts. I keep thinking about the summer watermelon stories my own kids talk about, the Christmas Eve run when it was like "O" degrees out, the Seniors talking about Coach at graduation, and how Shelia looked out for our kids in grade-school. We are grateful and thankful for knowing this incredible man. Ted and Anna

When we heard the news of D’s passing, a flood of fond memories warmed our hearts. From barnyard shenanigans, high school chemistry class (where he started his teaching career for Chris), to CCHS basketball and track... He was a very special guy. What a full and generous life he led. What a legacy to leave...a kind, caring, helpful man who will be missed by so many.
Praying for comfort in this time of sorrow.
Fondly
Dave & Chris

I worked a number of Paavo running camps with Coach Kingery both in KS and MI. Many of my runners knew him as well. He was highly respected by both his peers and by the runners. I hate it that we have lost a good man too early. Coach Sellers and I have been reminiscing about some of our Darrell stories. He had a positive impact on a great number people.
