A funeral service for Heather N. Stengel, 29, of Sellersburg, IN will be at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5, from 11 AM - 8 PM and Wednesday, March 6, from 10 AM - 12 PM at the funeral home. Heather, daughter of Chad and Teresa Stengel, passed away Wednesday February 27th at Norton Hospital with family and friends by her side. Heather was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and earned her Associates Degree from Ivy Tech Community College.

Heather was a member of Diane Moore Dance Academy as a Miracle Dancer where she spent 22 years dancing, making lifelong friends, and growing in spirit.

She also enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, crafting, puzzles, coloring, and many other activities. Her favorite was just hanging out with her family and friends listening to music from Carrie Underwood or broadway musicals and watching Food Network.

Heather touched many lives and was an inspiration to others. She will always be remembered for her compassion and love for all. She had to endure a lot in her short life and did so without any complaints and always with a smile on her face. She was truly and “angel on earth”.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sisters Stephany Stengel and Jordyn Stengel, her nephews Julian and Wyatt, a niece Jensyn (due in July), her beloved dog Bella Rose, a Grandmother Sarah Stengel and a Grandfather Larry Lewis Sr., along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by Grandparents Diane and Don Rollins, Grandmother Barbara Edwards and Grandfather Thomas Stengel.
