I was just devastated to hear of Laura's passing, always enjoyed talking to her when I visited the library, always helpful and interested in what was going on with my family. My daughter, Laura, worked with her and just loved her. This is a great loss to all that knew her. Deepest sympathies to her husband, children, her mother....she was a gentle soul and will be missed by everyone.

Laura was always so pleasant, friendly and fun to be with. We had many fun times together especially our fun days on the Thursday before Derby at Churchill Downs. Laura was always the best dressed, which she really enjoyed.
Rest In Peace, dear friend.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Laura’s family. Death is the hardest thing we have to deal with in life. I know my words can’t change anything and can do little to ease the pain you are feeling, so I pray that the God of comfort calm your hearts and help you heal. One way that God comforts us today is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. I’m very sorry for your loss. May the love of family, friends and Almighty God bring you strength and comfort during your time of grief. (Isaiah 41:10) And may the resurrection promise found at John 5:28, 29 bring hope and peace.

Laura Sue and I met at a Halloween party in 1977 and became “besties”!! She (and Alan) welcomed Terry and me into their family and we became “Aunt Sandy and Uncle Lew” to Jay and Greg. She could find something good in every situation. Through the years we shared many adventures and made lots of memories. Laura fought a great fight against cancer, especially during the past two years. I celebrate the fact that her pain and suffering are over and that her peace will be everlasting; but, I’m sure gonna miss my buddy.❤️

Laura was a wonderful person. I had the privilege to have worked with her since 1983. We shared a love for flowers, especially orchids and IU basketball. She is greatly missed at the library. Prayers of peace and comfort to Alan and the Conner family.
